Thero’s Recommended Gaming: Slay the Spire.

It has been quite some time since I have recommended a game on A Reluctant Hero. I thought I would change that today, by recommending a game that I still play three years after its release. The game I am recommending today is Slay the Spire.

First Impressions – Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Long time readers of this log will know I am not always playing the most hyped games, at the point of their releases. In fact, it can take me a couple of years to pick these well received games up and Animal Crossing: New Horizon is no exception. I’ll be honest, I was meaning to pick it up shortly after its release but unfortunately it was sold out everywhere and sp I completely forgot about it. Thanks to a work colleague, I was reminded in April of its existence and so I finally picked it up. It quickly became clear that New Horizons is going to be a bit of a time sink, so today I thought I would share my initial thoughts on it.

My Runescape Adventure: Part 1. A Lot of Tutorials.

This is the first post in, what is hopefully, my long adventure in Runescape! I have played Runescape many, many years ago, back when the classic version was the current one. My experience didn’t last long, as I ended up, as a newbie, wandering into a PVP zone and was promptly killed. After dying, I logged off and never went back to it. Humble Choice – February 2022’s Picks.

Last month, Humble Bundle announced some changes to their Humble Choice subscription, based on feedback they had received. I’ll admit that towards the end of last year I did notice a decline in the number of games in the Humble Choice bundles that I was interested in; so I am pleased that Humble Bundle said they are going to focus on quality over quantity. I am happy to pay £10 a month for fewer games but games that are well made and I will play. The February bundle is the first one after the changes were implemented. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at February’s Humble Choice!
