I tend to avoid recommending sequels in this series of posts but sometimes a sequel comes along that deserves a chance to win people over, especially if its predecessors were a little unpolished. That is why, this week I’m going to recommend Assassin’s Creed 2.

Assassin’s Creed II has a lot of pressure to not only live up to the expectation for the series but to surpass the original game. The original Assassin’s Creed had potential but it was bogged down by repetitive gameplay and a stilted plot. So the question is, did Assassin’s Creed II learn any lessons from the past?
Last week, I was focusing on catching up on things after the whole Internet issue. Its kind of scary how much the Internet has become a part of my life and without it, a lot of the things I do can grind to a halt. This coming week, I should be fully past those technical issues, two weeks on from the trauma. So, yay for technological dependency!
Last week had its fair share of trials and tribulations. It started last weekend with my Internet connections sporadically turning itself off. To cut a long story short, it took almost a week to discover the router firmware was at fault, but thanks to my tech wizard of a brother, it is now sorted and I’m back online!
I’m starting this post off with an apology and a little warning. This past week, we’ve been having internet connectivity issues in my house. This means that I wasn’t able to prepare and post my X-Men post, so for the time being, I’m suspending the Saturday Animated Reviews, as they rely the most on reliable internet.
As last week I had to work the weekend, I didn’t have a lot of free time. I finally started to watch The Ancient Magus’ Bride on Crunchyroll, yes I finally got around to signing up to Crunchyroll. My very early impressions of The Ancient Magus’ Bride are pretty simple: I appear to be falling in love with it! I need to watch a couple more episodes, but soon I’ll be writing a First Impressions post on it. Other than that, this update is going to have a very distinct assassin theme to it…
