It has been a few weeks since I’ve written a post for this blog- a combination of writer’s block and life events are the reasons behind my sudden disappearance. But now I am back! And what better way to update you guys, than with a gaming update post?
Let’s start off with the MMOs. I will admit that I did neglect ESO during September but with the Witches Festival event returning at the end of October, I will be returning to Tamriel at some point. I have been making progress with Guild Wars 2 in September, albeit quite slowly. I have now reached Lion’s Arch in my character’s story. I am blaming my slow progress on trying to 100% each zone and getting beaten by the vistas. Guild Wars 2 wasn’t the only MMO that I played last month, I also started to play Neverwinter on Steam. I know, I know. Another MMO. I was watching a video on Youtube about Neverwinter and I was intrigued. So far, I am enjoying the experience but I am still pretty much at the beginning of the game.
I also picked up my Switch again, towards the end of the month, and resumed my playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. I haven’t made much progress in the main story but I have been exploring the area surrounding Colony 9 and completing some of the time quests. A part of me thinks I am going to be sinking a lot of time into Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and I am looking forward to it!
I haven’t just been starting new games but I managed to complete one, as well! Yes, I have (finally) finished Marvel’s Spider-Man on my PS4. I managed to earn the platinum and finish all three DLCs. There was a point where I was starting to feel burnt out, mainly due to the amount of side activities in the game, but I managed to complete it even if it did take a little longer than I thought it would. Overall, Marvel’s Spider-Man is a solid game and one of the best Marvel games.
After Marvel’s Spider-Man, I decided to finally play the game that my boyfriend has wanted to play for a long time, Final Fantasy IX. I am currently on the Disc 2 section of the story and I’m really enjoying it. I am intrigued as to where the story is going to go. I’m not yet sure where FFIX will rate when compared to FFVII and FFX but I will keep you updated.
And that is the gaming I did in September! Although I didn’t finish a lot of games, I did make some good progress. For October, I would like to finish Final Fantasy IX and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. If I do have some time, I would like to play through Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, since it is the month of Hallowe’en. I would love to hear what games you have been playing and what you are planning to play in October, so let me know in the comments below and I’ll talk to you soon!
