Gaming in July 2022.

I am going to be honest- this is probably going to be a shorter post than normal. For some reason, in July, I had a bit of a gaming slump. I’m not sure why but for some reason, I just wasn’t feeling motivated to play games. As such, there aren’t that many games to talk about. Well, let’s take a look at what I did play…

The month started off well, with me finally finishing my rogue run of Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, on my Vita. I really enjoyed my time with this game. It is a solid action RPG, that whilst it won’t beat Diablo, it was enjoyable to play. I have decided that I won’t be going to get the platinum trophy for it, as my remaining trophies are all related to the multiplayer mode, which doesn’t appeal to me. Still, I enjoyed my time and I think Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a worthy addition to my Vita library.

I have been dabbling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons throughout the entire month. I’ve managed to get a second additional room and I have been focusing on raising the rating of my island. I also participated in the fishing competition, which I felt was a little underwhelming. Speaking of fishing, I have added quite a bit to the museum, since the summer season brings different insects and fishes. I have noticed that I have spent less time with Animal Crossing than I previously had, but I always knew that it was going to be a game that I would dip into occasionally.

One game I did manage to finish is Bad North, a strategy game that I reviewed in this post. I absolutely fell in love with this game. I think the simple design was what appealed to me as for most of July, whenever I played a game it was Bad North. If you are looking for a simple strategy game, then I highl;y recommend Bad North.

Back in my June post, I said that I wanted to finish Spider-Man, which unfortunately did not happen. At the start of July, I made a lot of progress but then my gaming slump hit and I didn’t pick the game back up until at the very end of the month. This was not Spider-Man’s fault, as I’m loving my time with it, I was just struggling to get invested in any game this past month. On a positive note, I am cautiously optimistic that I will finish it in August.

And that was my July update! That slump really hit me hard, fortunately, towards the end of the month, I started to get my enthusiasm back which means next month’s update should be much bigger! As I mentioned, I am hoping to finish Spider-Man in August and if I do, I will then be moving on to Final Fantasy IX. My boyfriend reckons I will enjoy it even more than Final Fantasy VII and has been wanting me to play it for quite some time.

So, that’s my plan for August, I would love to know what you have been playing. Let me know in the comments below and I will talk to you soon!
