Playstation Trophy Hunting: PSNProfiles.

Today, I thought I would do something a little different with this trophy hunting post and instead of talking aout the trophies I’ve earnt, I will talk about a site I use in my trophy hunting quest, psnprfiles.com.

Not the most hardcore trophy hunter…

PSNProfiles is a site that allows you to look up yours and other player’s trophy hunting progession on Playstation consoles. I mainly use PSNProfiles as a way of tracking my progress in completing the games I play but I know that there are much more serious trophy hunters that enjoy progressing up the leaderboards by earning the most trophies. The site isn’t just about players showing off their trophies, there’s an active forum for players to dicuss all things Playstation gaming and users can also create guides to help other players with their trophy hunting. This was particularly useful when I was trying to earn the Burnout Apocalypse trophy for Days Gone!

As you can see, I’ve been showing my Sony consoles some love recently!

As I mentioned in my Why I Started Hunting Trophies post, one fo the reasons I love trophy hunting is how the trophies you earn create this story of the type of gamer you are. This is also true about PSNprofiles. If you check out a player’s profile, you will see not only the games that they played but what their rarest trophies are and also the significant milestones in their trophy hunting, such as their first trophy, fastest platinum etc. Members of the site can also personalise their page slightly by featuring their favourite trophies in a virtual trophy cabinet- mine are my top ten rarest platinum trophies that I’ve earnt but other members chose to display trophies for other reasons. I just love looking a peoples’ profiles and seeing their progression as a gamer and seeing what games they loved so much that they completed them 100% and also what trophies they consider to be special.

My shiny, shiny platinum trophies.

PSNprofiles is also a statistician’s dream. Not only can you see what trophies people have earnt but the site also reveals what days the player earns the most trophies on, as well as a monthly timeline to track how many trophies they earn each month. I’ll be honest, I’m not obssessed with consistently earning lots of trophies each month but I sometimes like to see how my trophy hunting compares to previous months and years. I think this feature really appeals to those wanting to improve their trophy hunting and jump up on the leaderboards but personally I’d rather spending my time playing the games than planning how to earn the most trophies in a month.

Not the most exciting pages but still quite interesting!

So, that was PSNprofiles, a site I use to keep track of my trophy hunting progress. If you wanted to check out my profile on the site, just click here. Alternatively, on the homepage you can check out anyone’s profile, as long as its not privated, by searching their PSN name. Let me know in the comments if there are any sites that you use to help with your trophy hunting and also let me know if you want me to talk more about the sites I use for trophy hunting or keeping track of my video game collection. OK, guys, that’s it for this post, I’ll talk to you soon!
