30 Day Pokemon Challenge: Day 5. Favourite Legendary Pokemon.

We’ve almost reached the end of the first week for this thirty day challenge! Today, we are going to be talking about an elusive but powerful Pokemon, who just so happens to be my favourite legendary Pokemon.

I think anyone who was introduced to the Pokemon series during the first generation have a soft spot for the first generation legendary Pokemon. Sure, they are gods like Arceus and they aren’t as strong as some of the other legendary but they were the originals. And whilst the bird legendaries are pretty awesome, there is only really one legendary that I can claim to be my favourite- Mewtwo.

Mewtwo is rather unique compared to the other Pokemon, as it was the result of a genetic experiment. In fact, Mewtwo’s tragic backstory is one of the reasons it is my favourite legendary. It isn’t some mythical creature but one born out of teh cruelty of humans. Naturally, this makes Mewtwo quite antagonistic towards humans and often puts it at odds with the humans of the POkemon world, but his motivations are understandable. However, it is not only Mewtwo’s backstory that makes it unique, it is also one of only a handful of psychic Pokemon that featured in the first generation of Pokemon. This makes Mewtwo, in the lore, quite a formiddable opponent and definitely a Pokemon you want on your side.

So, Mewtwo is my favourite legendary but who is yours? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll talk to you soon!
