Video Game Music Challenge- Day 25: Music That Gets You Pumped.

Music in video games serve several purposes like creating atmosphere and evoking certain emotions. Today, I’m talking about the video game music that gets me excited.

OK, let’s start off with one from Final Fantasy X, as we all know that I was going to mention it at some point. A major part of FFX, is the battles, so it makes sense that the music from the game gets me in the right mood for these battles. The track that does this the best is aptly named Battle Theme. Its fast and upbeat, perfect for fighting the fiends in the game!

And of course, I have to talk about The Elder Scrolls, especially Skyrim’s Dragonborn and Oblivion’s Reign of the Septims. Both of these tracks are perfect for epic fantasy RPGs and the fact that these are the tracks you hear from the opening menu, definitely promise you one incredible adventure.

Finally, there is the soundtrack for one of my favourite MMOs, Final Fantasy XIV. Naturally, it has a lot of epic sounding music, so I will share just a few. From the base game, there is Torn From The Heavens and Hard To Miss. From the expansion, Heavensward, there is A Cold Wind and The Heavens’ Ward.

What video game music gets you pumped? Let me know in the comments and join me tomorrow, when I’ll be talking about music I like from a game I haven’t yet played. See you then!
