This is something that has happened to pretty much everyone, you hear a song and no matter what it stays in your head. You may not know the lyrics or even the whole song but the bit that you do know just keeps going around and around in your mind. This doesn’t have to be the latest hit song on Spotify, it can also be part of a video game soundtrack; so today let’s talk about the video game music that constantly gets stuck in your head!
OK, let’s get out of the way the tracks that you would expect to get stuck in my head: Dragonborn from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim; Zanarkand from Final Fanatasy X and Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog.
So, what other tracks get stuck in my head? Let’s start off with chilled out track from Stardew Valley– Stardew Valley Overture. This is the opening track that you will hear at the main menu. Its such a chilled tune, just perfect for this farming simulator. I think its the repetitiveness of the track that gets it stuck in my head. Not that I’m complaining, its a really good track toget stuck in your head!
Next up is another track from a simulator; this time its from Planet Coaster and it called The Light In Us All. Like with Stardew Valley Overture, you hear this track right from the main menu. Again, its a pretty chilled out song but its also pretty upbeat and I can’t help but hum along when I’m playing Planet Coaster!
The final song I want to share with you is from Assassin’s Creed 2. Unlike the other two tracks, this is much more sombre and epic. The track I’m talking about is Ezio’s Family. The fact that this tune is included in many of the Assassin’s Creed soundtracks, albeit with some changes to suit the different games, just keeps this song stuck in my head.
So, there were some video game songs that I often have in my head. What songs get stuck in your head? Let me know in the comments below and join me tomorrow, when I’ll be talking about music that gets me pumped. See you then!
