We’ve made it to the half way point! Seriously, this is a pretty big deal for me, as I generally struggle to make it to the fifteenth post in fifteen days. So, what better way to celebrate me achieve this challenge milestone by talking about the music that accompanies a game’s biggest milestone- the boss battles! (Beware of spoilers!)

First up, is Dragon Age: Origins with the appropriately named track Challenge An Arch Demon. Throughout the course of this Bioware RPG, you have been building up to this moment, where you must face the Arch Demon in order to save Ferelden. The track starts off quite creepy and unseetling before slowly becoming more epic as it progresses. One thing I love about this track is the continous drum beat, it just adds a layer of intenisty to the music.
The sond track isn’t really a boss battle but it does feel like you are fighting the game, so I am including it and that track is Through the Fire and Flames by DragonForce on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. This is easily the hardest song that I’ve played on any Guitar Hero game and is worthy of being called a boss battle.
So, there were a couple of boss battle tracks that I like but what are your favourites? Feel free to share in the commenst below and I’ll talk to you soon!
For me: Gwyn’s boss music at the end of Dark Souls. The sad piano wasn’t what I expected, but I think it captures the mood of the moment, and the character of Gwyn perfectly.
