I know I’ve been a little quiet on this blog lately, but that is just down the virus and not really having the motivation to sit down and write. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t been doing things, in fact I’ve been getting quite a bit of gaming done, so let’s take a look at the games I’ve been playing in April!

The first game I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in is Final Fantasy XIV. My sister’s girlfriend has just started to play the game and it got me motivated to log back into the game. My boyfriend and I decided that we would create new characters and experience the game together. I’m currently playing as a Scholar, while he is a Warrior and I have to say at the moment I’m loving it. We are planning to set aside Tuesday evenings specifically to play FFXIV, so you can expect to see frequent updates on this blog!
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been neglecting my Playstation 4 recently. In fact, in 2019, I apparently only played two games on my PS4; after seeing that I resolved to play more PS4 games… and then forgot about my resolution. Well, in April, I finally booted up Days Gone and I have been having a blast in post-apocalpytic Oregon. My progress has been slow, as I keep getting distracted by all the side activities and collectibles. I’ve been enjoying my time with Days Gone and you can expect to see me talking more about it in next month’s gming update post.

Another game I returned to, this month, is Assassin’s Creed Origins. I stopped playing it previously, as the game’s performance reduced after a Windows update but it appears that this has been resolved with a more recent update. My unpanned absence from the game hasn’t taken away any of my love for the game, I still love exploring Egypt and delivering some Medjay justice. I also completed my first Discovery Tour, which was surprisingly fun. I’m hoping to (finally) finsih Originsin May and possibly move onto Odyssey.
Finally, my Switch also received some love this month, in fact the only game I complete this month was on the Switch- Untitled Goose Game. I know, I’m a l;ittle behind the hype but I got there in the end! Overall, I enjoyed Untitled Goose Game but I did find it a little on the short side, still its a game I would recommend picking up if its on sale. I’ve also been playing some more of Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl- Gold, which continues to win me over with its word play and overall cuteness.
And that was the games I played in April! What have you guys been playing? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll talk to you soon!
April was a playing it again month for me! I replayed all of ‘Hard West’ which is a turn based wild west themed game (thoroughly underrated imho) and then Call of Juarez Gunsliger because I couldn’t get enough of that Wild West-ness!I also ended up punting for a Switch Online Subscription and played a bit of Tetris 99 (although I’m on the bad side of average at best)

It sounds like you had a real Wild West themed month! And don’t worry, you can’t be as bad as I am at Tetris.

Still deep into City of Heroes… The new electrical based powerset I talked about last month was released to Live, and I built a new toon around it. Since there are already a number of electrical based sets in the game, I was amazed that such an obvious name as “Shock Princess” was available.
Since that’s kind of a retro sounding name, I gave her an appropriately Silver Age (ish) costume.

I’m glad you’re still having a blast with City of Heroes and haven’t developed any burn out. I’m surprised that Shock Princess was an available name but like you said, it definitely suits your hero. Let me know how you get on with this character!

Been playing ESO, GTA V, and just got addicted to Spider-man on the PS4. Great gaming month for me! That’s one good thing about this whole pandemic mess: guilt-free gaming 🙂

All of those are definitely great picks! I have noticed that the amount of gaming I have been doing has increased, especially with the MMOs that I play.
How far into Spiderman are you?

Not too far story wise… Swinging through the city is so fun I’m enjoying completing all the collectibles as they pop up, haha.

I highly suggest you play A.C Odyssey… I have been playing it continuously throughout April and May. I have to say how beautiful this game is and how amazing the story line is.
