Update: I Haven’t Disappeared, Yet!

Well, I managed to keep my promise to you guys and managed to publish all three posts last week! I consider that a victory! All joking aside, I can safely say, I am back to normal self and raring to go with the whole blogging thing. Fingers crossed, soon I’ll be joining back in with some of the community events…

What have I been reading?

So, I was a bit of an idiot an left A Game of Thrones at work, so I haven’t made much progress. I’m about a third of the way in, which means the main characters for the first book, have been introduced and now the political game is really just beginning. Re-reading A Game of Thrones reminds me why I love the series, the amount of detail in the world and the history is incredible. I just hope that George R. R. Martin will one day finish Winds of Winter!

Since I couldn’t read A Game of Thrones over the weekend, I instead read and finished the sixth novel in the Sword Art Online light novel seriesPhantom Bullet vol. 2. Its very similar to the story arc in the anime but the light novel adds more detail to the world, as well as the characters. In some ways, I prefer the novels to the anime, as the anime tends to gloss over the setting and lore for the action and combat. I do have the seventh novel, Mother’s Rosary, sitting on bookshelf, which I’ll be reading sometime in the near future.

What have I been playing?

Assassin's Creed® Rogue2019-3-2-17-22-10.jpg

As you can see, I’ve been playing a little more Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. I’ve made it to Memory sequence 4 and I’m just really clearing all the locations of collectables, as this is something I tend to forget to do. Plus, sailing on the Morrigan and taking other people’s resources is a lot of fun.

I’ve also been dabbling in ESO, mainly in Malabal Tor, since there isn’t any event going on at the moment. Speaking of events, I’ve also completed the Little Ladies Day event in Final Fantasy XIV, which was a little disappointing. Aside from that, I’ve managed to level my White MAge to level 49, so I’m almost finished with the base game content. And yes, I do know that I have two expansions to go…

Another JRPG I’ve been dabbling is Octopath Traveller, which has been enjoyable so far. I wouldn’t say it has the most epic storyline I’ve come across but as a game to pick and play a little bit at a time, it certainly has won me over. The final game that I’ve been playing is the Backlog Challenge, Domina. I think I have a good idea on how to play this game, so I’ll be playing more seriously in the next week.

What’s going on with the blog?

Well, I managed to get the posts out that I promised, but in case you missed them:

This week, I’m hoping to get a First Impressions of Umbrella Academy and a post for A Year of Life In Games posted, so watch this space.

And that was my week! What have you guys been getting up to? Let me know in the comments and I’ll talk to you soon!
