Real Neat Blog Award Nomination.

A few days ago, A Reluctant Hero was nominated for the Real Neat Blog Award by Megan over at A Geeky Gal. If you love reading about gaming, geeky lists and some personal stories, then I highly recommend checking out A Geeky Gal. I want to thank Megan for taking the time to nominate me, I’m pretty bad at responding to these nominations but they are always appreciated. OK, let’s move onto the rules for the award…

Ok, so I’ve checked off the first two rules already, let’s move onto Megan’s questions!

 

You need a partner for the apparent apocalypse that has taken place during your coma. Which video game character do you choose?

I would choose Razum-dar, the Khajiit Dominion agent from The Elder Scrolls Online. Ever since I washed up on the shores of Khenarthi’s Roost, lacking a soul, Raz has had my back, so who would be better to help be survive the apocalypse? Plus, as an agent of the queen, he has some skills that would useful such as stealth, combat and investigation.

 

Great monsters are now roaming the lands you used to call home… what fearsome video game creatures do you see on the horizon?

Well, since this is the post-apocalypse, it has to be the Deathclaw from the Fallout series.

 

You must pick a weapon to defend yourself with. What video game weapon do you choose?

If I’m going to fight in an apocalyptic world, then I’m going to do it in style! I choose the sword cane from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Not only is it deceptive in appearance but it can be used in a variety of ways, making it a versatile weapon.

 

You and your partner are seeking shelter for the night after a long day of fighting. What video game house/apartment/place do you bunker down in for the night?

For shelter, I would want to go somewhere that is easily defended and offers a lot of protection. I would choose Skyhold fortress from Dragon Age Inquisition. With only one way in, a bridge across a chasm, two people could people could defend it. Plus, its survived for centuries, so there’s a high chance that it would also survive whatever event caused the apocalypse.

 

You’re getting awfully hungry battling those scary creatures. What video game food is in your pack?

Sweetrolls from The Elder Scrolls series. What? I think the end of the world justifies for some comfort eating!

 

You and your partner run across more survivors who ask to join your party, but one of them is a little shady. Which video game character is the wolf in sheep’s clothing?

It has to be Seymour Guado from Final Fantasy X. Sure, he comes across as an OK guy with some serious summoning abilities and maybe a little arrogant but he will definitely be trying to the events of the apocalypse to his advantage. Let;’s hope there won’t be a boss battle against him, or four…

 

You hear of a place that’s been untouched by the apocalypse. What video game world do you hope it is?

There can only be one place that I would want to safe and that would be Stardew Valley. Sure, it won’t be completely untouched as it does have its own monster problem and some of its citizens have left to fight a war. Aside from that, it would be nice for such a peaceful place to remain relatively unscathed from the apocalypse.

Now, I’m going to disobey the last two rules, as I can’t think of any decent questions, but if you guys want to answer Megan’s questions in the comments, I would love to see what you come up with.
