Update: Countdown To Comic Con 2018!

Its now less than a week before MCM London Comic Con and I’m starting to get a little hyped about it. This year my sister and her girlfriend will be joining my brother and I, which is really exciting as this will be my sister’s first Comic Con! Fingers crossed that she is going to love the experience.

What have I been reading?

Last week, I finished my re-read of the Newsflesh trilogy which still, after all these years, live up to my recollection of the series. Its definitely a zombie trilogy that I highly recommend. Sticking with the horror theme, but moving from zombies to ghosts, I’ve been reading The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring. This book is much slower paced and gives me Woman in Black vibes, where I feel a lot of the horror is going to be created by the reader’s overactive imagination. I’m about half way through and the tension is definitely building, but so far, not too much spooky goings on. I reckon I’ll be finishing The Ghost Hunters  by the end of this week, I already have another horror book lined up, A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay.

What have I been playing?

I’m still in love with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which just seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. At the moment, Kassandra is hanging out in Athens, still trying to sort out her family drama. At the time of writing this, I’ve spent seventeen hours playing Odyssey and I’m still less than a quarter of the way through the main game, so I’m thinking I’ve definitely gotten my monies worth here!

I’ve also spent a little more time playing Graveyard Keeper, which I have to say that the more I play it, the less I feel that its a copy of Stardew Valley. I feel that I need to spend more time with the game before I can write about this game further but there will be a first impressions post soon!

Finally, I’ve been spending a bit of time in Elder Scrolls Online, as the Witches Festival event is now live. So far, I haven’t been doing too badly, I’ve managed to earn quite a few plunder skulls. I’ll go into more detail about the event soon, in a future post on this blog!

What’s going on with the blog?

Unfortunately, things went slightly hectic last week and I didn’t get a chance to write my second post, about Graveyard Keeper but hopefully, that should go up this week; along with the post about ESO‘s Hallowe’en event. In case you missed last week’s single post, here’s the link:

And that was my week! Are any of you guys heading to London Comic Con this weekend? Or if you’ve been to a Comic Con, why not share your experiences in the comments and I’ll talk to you soon!
