October Humble Monthly Bundle… Unboxing?!

Its that time of the month again, when I dive into another pile of games. Fingers crossed, that there aren’t too many horror games for the month of Hallowe’en!

1. Dungeons III

Kicking off this bundle is a game that’s been on my Steam wishlist for a little while, Dungeons III. If you’ve played Dungeon Keeper, then you already have a good idea of what this game is about. If not, basically you’re the villain who’s trying to expand their dungeon and stop the heroes from taking your treasure. This looks like its going to be great wacky fun.

Price on Steam: £29.99 (UK)/$39.99 (US).

2. American Truck Simulator.

I’m not really sure what I can add to this paragraph that the title already doesn’t explain. You drive around, delivering your cargo in an American style truck. I don’t think there are secret bosses or dungeons involved.

Price on Steam: £14.99 (UK)/$19.99 (US).

3. Overwatch.

Here is a game that needs little introduction, Blizzard’s Overwatch is a team based shooter. I’ll be honest, its not a game that appeals to me. I’m not a huge fan of shooters and if I do play a shooter, I want it a little slower paced than a 90’s child on Sunny-D.

Price on Battle.net: £29.99 (UK)/$39.99 (US).

4. Gremlins Inc.

Another game that’s been on my Steam wishlist for quite some time! Gremlins Inc. is a steampunk themed digital board game, in which your goal is to become the most successful capitalist gremlin. It looks like it has a bit of a learning curve to it but also offers a lot of strategic gameplay. Definitely one that will be going on my to-play pile!

Price on Steam: £14.99 (UK)/$14.99 (US).

5. Hidden Folks.

Growing up, I always loved the Where’s Wally books. I could spend hours trying to find all the hidden things…well, I didn’t say I was any good at it! It looks like Hidden Folks is aimed directly at people with a fondness for Wally. It looks like the sort of game I would play in between story heavy games, even if it does frustrate the hell out of me.

Price on Steam: £5.99 (UK)/$7.99 (US).

6. Old Man’s Journey.

The next game is a puzzle adventure game in which you undertake a journey through an old man’s eyes. The thing that stood out to me with this game is the art style, which reminds me of some watercolour paintings. Old Man’s Journey looks like its a  bit of a slower pace, but more emotional game and one I’ll be trying in the future.

Price on Steam: £5.59 (UK)/$7.99 (US).

7. We Were Here Too.

We Were Here Too is an online co-op adventure game, in which you must solve puzzles with your partner to escape a medieval castle. The catch? You can only communicate using your walkie talkies (microphones). This actually sounds like a really cool idea and one I’ll probably try out with my brother. Because playing co-op games with him has worked out so well in the past…

Price on Steam: £7.19 (UK)/$9.99 (US).

8. Wandersong.

The next game is more of a sneak peak of an upcoming game, called WanderlustWanderlust is an adventure game in which you play as a bard who must save the world by… singing. This looks like a colourful and fun adventure with a rather unique concept. Definitely a game I’ll be giving a go in the future!

Price on Steam: £14.99 (UK)/ $19.99 (US).

9. Ollie & Bollie Outdoor Estate.

And the final game in this bundle is the Humble Original game for the month, which seems to be a sandbox game in which you create your ideal property.

And that was the October bundle! I am surprised that there wasn’t any horror games, considering Hallowe’en is in October. Still, I’m not complaining as a couple of games on my Steam wishlist were in this bundle. Overall, I wouldn’t say that this was incredible bundle but certainly wasn’t a terrible one. Did any game spark your interest? Let me know in the comments!

Next month’s bundle has three revealed games: Hollow KnightHitman: The Complete First Season and 7 Days To DieIf you pay for next month’s bundle you’ll unlock these three games immediately; don’t worry if you don’t, come back next month and I will reveal all the games in the November bundle. See you then!
