30 Day Video Game Challenge: Day 29. A Warm Fuzzy Early Gaming Memory.

With this challenge’s penultimate post, we’re taking a trip down memory lane!

I’ve talked about some of my early gaming memories before in this challenge, in particular about my Game Boy Color and the Sega Megadrive. Well, here is a memory about the Playstation 1.

One of the first games my parents bought for our Playstation 1 was Spyro: Year of the Dragon. My sister and I loved this 3d platformer. That was until we reached the first boss, Buzz.

Buzz easily defeated myself and my sister. He beat us thoroughly. No matter what we tried in our separate games, we kept getting butted into the lava and being defeated. In the end, we team up and worked together. It took us a while, but we worked out the strategy and together we beat him in both our games. It may not seem like a significant victory but its a memory that stuck with me because of the amount of time my sister and I spent together, working together, to achieve a common goal.

Of course once that boss fight was over, the sibling rivalry returned.

Don’t be shy guys, share your warmest and fuzziest gaming memories in the comments below! Join me tomorrow for the final post in this challenge, see you then!
