In this post, I am going to attempt to answer Later Levels’ April question, which is:
Which three video game characters would you choose to help you survive the apocalypse? The type of apocalypse and enemy you’ll encounter will depend on your birthday…
|January||Nuclear winter||01-03||Sentient AI|
|December||Mass drought||30-31||Killer Tomatoes|
Looking at the chart, with my birthday being 1st November, the apocalyse I need to survive is Plague of Sentient AI. OK, how hard can that be?
It looks to me like my team is going to have to be a technical bunch. With that in mind, my first team member will be Rebecca Crane from the Assassin’s Creed series. Rebecca was first introduced in Assassin’s Creed II, as the technical genius that managed to recreate the animus machine, without the resources that Abstergo had. Not only can she enter ionto the computer systems of one of the world’s biggest corporation but she also has some useful Assassin skills as well.
My second team member may not be as much of a technical wiz as Rebecca but I don’t doubt he will be very useful and that is Adam Jensen from Deus Ex. His augmentations give him the ability to hack computer terminals but it is his combat abilities that earn him a place on my team. With most of his body modified, Adam can tackle any situation that the apocalypse throws at us.
And my final team member is… Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series! I bet you didn’t see that one coming… and before you think I’m a little crazy, hear me out. Sora has a bit of experience dealing with Ssentient AI, he went face to face with MCP (Master Control Program) from the TRON universe. If I going to survive the end of the world, I want someone with a bit of experience with the very thing that ended the entire world! Plus, Sora’s positive attitude means that when everything goes horribly wrong, at least one member of my team will see the positive side…
And those are three video game characters I would want in my team in the event of the world ending, thanks to sentient AI. Who would you have on your team? Let me know in the comments and I’ll talk to you soon!
