Later Levels’ Question of the Month, February Edition.

In today’s post, I’m going to be answering Later Levels’ February question, which is:

You ate everything during Christmas, so now have to diet and work it all off; which video game character do you recruit as your personal trainer to get you back into shape?

This is a really good question… and really a hard one! Its mainly because I tend to avoid the more active video games, like Wii Fit or any of the dancing games, I prefer more relaxed gaming that allows me to sit down while I play. What can I say? I prefer long gaming sessions that don’t leave me exhausted. Anyway, I digress, back to the question at hand. So, to answer this question, I looked at characters from some of the games that I’ve played to see who could help me get into shape. And I do believe I have found one- Faith from the Mirror’s Edge series.

In the Mirror’s Edge  series, Faith is a Runner, a courier who operates illegally outside of the City’s control. For Runners to be able to successfully complete their deliveries, they have to master parkour. What is parkour? Parkour is basically the art of moving from A to B in the most efficient way possible. So not only would Faith help me get into shape but she will also show me how to move around effectively as well. OK, but is parkour that good for you? Yep, the constant movement helps as a cardiovascular exercise, basically gets your heart beating; it also helps build up your core body strength and overall, it gives you a full body workout. Not to mention it looks pretty cool.

So, in answer to the question, I would recruit Faith as she can teach me how to parkour, which is a great way to provide your body with a whole workout. Who do you guys think I should work out with? Let me know in the comments!
