Kim at Later Levels has created this amazing gaming collaboration to get everyone in the festive spirit. Today’s post is my answer for this question:
The presents have been opened and dinner has been eaten, so you’ve got a bit of time for gaming while Gran is snoozing on the sofa. What’s the best video game to play during the holidays?
I actually have two answers for this question, depending whether or not I’m playing alone or with other people.
If I am by myself, then I have to go with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The environment just screams winter. Plus it is an incredibly long RPG, which means I have plenty to play over the Christmas period. Finally, just like with cheesy Christmas songs, I can’t help but sing/hum along to Skyrim’s music.
If I am playing with other people, then I would go for Overcooked, a local co-operative multiplayer game. In the game, each player is a chef and you have to work together to create dishes and earn enough money before the time runs out. If that sounds easy, don’t worry, it’s not. Each kitchen has its own obstacles or quirks; each dish request has a time limit and if you leave something on the stove for too long, the kitchen will burn. With easy to learn controls, its a great game for people who don’t play games. After playing Overcooked at Christmas, I agree too many cooks do spoil the broth!
Come back tomorrow for the next collaboration post!
