MMO Seasonal Event- Final Fantasy XIV: The Maiden’s Rhapsody.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is spoiling us with another event, this time which collaborates with Final Fantasy XI!

How do you take part in the event?

There is one requirement in being able to complete this event and that is to have at least one class at level 30. If meet that requirement, head over to the Upper Decks in Limsa Lominsa to begin the event!

Just in case you get lost…

What is the event?

The Maiden’s Rhapsody is a series of quests involving completing FATEs and travelling between Gridania, Limsa Lominsa and Ul’dah. Without spoiling anything, this ties in with events from Final Fantasy XI. This isn’t an overly long event, it took me about half an hour to complete, but for some players it may take even less than that, if they are attuned to aetheryte closer to each FATE. Unlike the Hallowe’en event, the FATEs are not repeatable, so once you have completed the questline, that’s it.

What are the rewards?

The reward for completing the event is a set of armour, as you can see from the screenshot above. Although the stats on the armour aren’t anything special, I do like its appearance and for the length of the event, its not a bad reward.

Final Thoughts.

Overall, the Maiden’s Rhapsody was a nice and quick event. Its a bit of a shame you can’t go back and redo the FATEs or earn additional, smaller rewards; however for fans of Final Fantasy XI, this was a nice nod to the earlier game. I will say, if you were sick of FATEs after the Yokai Watch event, then steer clear of the Maiden’s Rhapsody but if you would like to earn some nice looking armour, then this may be a good thirty minutes well spent.

You do only have until 29th November to complete the event, so hurry on over to Limsa Lominsa!
