Update: Anime Challenge Returns!

Not a lot of exciting things have been happening to me this last week. In my monthly Magic: The Gathering gaming session, we decided to play Commander fr the first. For anyone who doesn’t know what the Commander format is, each player has 40 life and a deck of 100 cards, but you can only have one copy of each card. You also have a Commander, sort of like a Planeswalker, that you can call on. There were five of us playing and I managed to come second, so I was pretty happy. The only other bit of news I have is I finally have my ticket fr London MCM Comic Con in October! I’ll admit I’m pretty excited, as this is the third time I’ve been able to go.

What am I reading?

I finished Dune this week, which was amazing and I wished I had read it a little sooner. Still, I’ll be picking up the other books in the series soon. I’m currently reading a fantasy novel called Dawnthief by James Barclay. I haven’t read too much, but it seems to be your standard epic fantasy plot. I’m finding it enjoyable, particularly after a book like Dune.

What am I playing?

I’ve been playing a few games this week, the first being The Flame in The Flood, which is a survival game set in a post apocalyptic flooded world. The goal is simple, try and get as far down the river, on your boat, as you can. It was enjoyable but IO found the game got easier after a certain point because I fully upgraded my boat. If you like survival games, this maybe worth a look. I’ve also been playing ESO and Guild Wars 2, both of  my characters are levelling up nicely. I’ve also been dabbling in Armello, a board game like game, and Cities Skylines, a game similar to SimCity.

What am I blogging about?

Some of you may remember, a year ago I did an anime blogging challenge. Well, I said I would do the challenge a year later and here we are. To refresh everyone’s memories here are the topics:

anime-challenge-1

There is going to be one difference from last year, I’m doing this challenge in 30 days. I’ll be starting the challenge on 1st September and if you want to see my posts from last year, they are still on the blog.

Now if you don’t like anime, don’t worry, I’ll still be doing these update posts and the other posts, which won’t have any anime themes, until after the challenge. This means you’ll still be getting the Humble Bundle post on Saturday.

As you can see, I have my work cut out for me! Still, if you want to share what you’ve been getting up to, I would love to read about it.
